 Anambra@35: Nonye Soludo Celebrates State’s Resilience, Greatness By MaryAnn Chukwuma Mrs. Nonye Soludo, wife of the Anambra Governor, has congratulated Ndi Anambra on the 35th anniversary of the creation of the state, describing the milestone as a celebration of resilience, greatness and hope. Mrs Soludo, in a goodwill message issued to commemorate the anniversary, reflected on Anambra’s 35 year journey and the contributions of its people to the state’s growth and development. She described Anambra as a land of promise and possibilities, saying the state had continued to be defined by enterprise, courage, resilience, culture and an unwavering belief in what could be achieved. According to her, the strength of Anambra lies in its communities and the ingenuity of its people, whose determination, creativity and resilience have contributed significantly to the state’s progress.  LASG BEGINS DISTRIBUTION OF TEXTBOOKS TO PUBLIC SECONDARY SCHOOLS, REINFORCING COMMITMENT TO QUALITY EDUCATION


The Lagos State Government, through the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, has commenced the distribution of textbooks to public secondary schools across the state. This initiative aims to democratize access to quality education and empower students with the necessary tools to excel academically.


Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Mr Jamiu Alli-Balogun, emphasised the transformative power of education in shaping the destiny of individuals, communities, and nations at the launch event, held at the Lagos State Education Resource Centre, Ojodu-Berger, Lagos.


He noted that the provision of textbooks is a strategic investment in the future of Lagos' children, fostering a culture of meritocracy and aligning with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu's T.H.E.M.E.S Plus Agenda.


The initiative, which will be in phases, prioritises Education and Technology, Social Inclusion, and Youth Development, strengthening students' proficiency in English Language and Mathematics, reducing financial burdens on parents, and promoting equity and inclusivity. 


Alli-Balogun emphasised that the textbook distribution demonstrates the State Government's commitment to quality education, capacity building, and student empowerment.


The Lagos State Government's initiative reinforces its position as a trailblazer in public education delivery in Nigeria, aiming to yield improved academic performance, increased motivation, and greater equity in access to learning materials.


The event was attended by top government officials, education stakeholders, school administrators, and representatives of various districts.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
