 NDLEA dismantles Abuja drug bunks, arrests 132, recovers 220kg illicit substances  -Marwa hails operation, vows to sustain crackdown in FCT, other states  In a non-stop two-week offensive action against traffickers and dealers, operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have successfully dismantled several drug joints and bunks within and around the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja where a total of 132 suspects were arrested and 220 kilograms of assorted illicit substances recovered. The wel-coordinated raids jointly conducted by the Agency's Directorate of Operations and General Investigation (DOGI) and the FCT Strategic Command from llth to 25th April 2026 were launched to dismantle illicit drug hubs contributing to substance abuse, trafficking, and associated criminal activities in the capital city after weeks of intelligence and surveillance across all identified hotspots.  LASG BEGINS DISTRIBUTION OF TEXTBOOKS TO PUBLIC SECONDARY SCHOOLS, REINFORCING COMMITMENT TO QUALITY EDUCATION


The Lagos State Government, through the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, has commenced the distribution of textbooks to public secondary schools across the state. This initiative aims to democratize access to quality education and empower students with the necessary tools to excel academically.


Commissioner for Basic and Secondary Education, Mr Jamiu Alli-Balogun, emphasised the transformative power of education in shaping the destiny of individuals, communities, and nations at the launch event, held at the Lagos State Education Resource Centre, Ojodu-Berger, Lagos.


He noted that the provision of textbooks is a strategic investment in the future of Lagos' children, fostering a culture of meritocracy and aligning with Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu's T.H.E.M.E.S Plus Agenda.


The initiative, which will be in phases, prioritises Education and Technology, Social Inclusion, and Youth Development, strengthening students' proficiency in English Language and Mathematics, reducing financial burdens on parents, and promoting equity and inclusivity. 


Alli-Balogun emphasised that the textbook distribution demonstrates the State Government's commitment to quality education, capacity building, and student empowerment.


The Lagos State Government's initiative reinforces its position as a trailblazer in public education delivery in Nigeria, aiming to yield improved academic performance, increased motivation, and greater equity in access to learning materials.


The event was attended by top government officials, education stakeholders, school administrators, and representatives of various districts.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
