Bill Cosby is attempting to block several women from testifying in an upcoming trial connected to allegations against him.
According to court filings, he wants to exclude testimony from Janice Dickinson, Andrea Constand, and others, as well as prevent evidence of prior sexual misconduct claims from being introduced.
Cosby argues that these accounts are inadmissible because they involve alleged incidents that were never formally charged.
The case stems from a lawsuit filed by Donna Motsinger, who alleges that Cosby drugged and assaulted her in 1972 while she was working at the Trident restaurant in Sausalito, California.
Motsinger claims Cosby gave her a pill she believed was aspirin, after which she felt disoriented and later woke up in her bed wearing only underwear.
In a deposition related to the case, Cosby admitted to obtaining Quaaludes with the intent of giving them to women to facilitate sexual encounters, though he insisted he never took the drug himself.
Cosby previously served nearly three years in prison after being convicted of aggravated indecent assault, but his conviction was overturned in 2021 by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court due to procedural issues.
The new trial represents another chapter in the long-running legal battles surrounding the comedian, who continues to face accusations from multiple women spanning decades.
