 Anambra Government Reaffirms Mega City Drive, Demolishes Scores of Illegal Structures By Ruth Orji  The Anambra State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to the ongoing regeneration drive and restoration of sanity across the state through enforcement exercises and demolition of illegal structures statewide. The exercise was led by the Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Barrister Chijioke Ojukwu, on July 8, in line with the Physical Planning Law of Anambra State. Stating that it is no longer business as usual, the commissioner urged residents to take every notice received from the ministry seriously and comply promptly with planning regulations henceforth. He, however, said several eviction notices had been served but were taken with a pinch of salt, adding that demolitions followed because structures defaced the environment or obstructed pedestrian walkways. Falola during a courtesy visit to the Commissioner yesterday at the Ministry of Information and Strategy, Alausa Secretariat.he COSON week starts this sunday October 29,2017 with a Church service and concert in Victoria Island and it will end on the 5th of November 2017 with the COSON Song Awards.I wish my fellow COSON members a great week ahead.More photos below.
