 Middle East war: No distress calls yet from Nigerians in Iran- FG The Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, NiDCOM, says it is yet to receive any distress call from Nigerians residing in Iran, following ongoing hostilities between Iran and the United States and its ally, Israel. In a chat with Vanguard, the Director of Media and Public Relations of NiDCOM, Abdur-Rahman Balogun, said although there might be Nigerians in Iran, none had officially reached out to the commission for assistance. “I’m not saying there are no Nigerians there, I’m only saying nobody has sent any distress call,” he clarified. Key decisions reached include stopping NNPC Limited from collecting the 30% management fee and 30% frontier exploration fund deductions from profit oil and gas under Production Sharing Contracts with immediate effect. AFC/M23, which U.N. experts say is backed by Rwanda, launched drones at the airport in early February, saying it had been used to attack AFC/M23 positions and civilians in areas under its control. In a statement posted on its official X account on Monday, the board said the sale of application documents began on Monday, March 2, 2026, and will end on Saturday, April 25, 2026. JAMB advised prospective Direct Entry applicants that the registration service can only be accessed at its offices nationwide.  6 Worshippers Abducted During Taraweeh Prayers In Kaduna Six Muslim worshippers have been abducted by suspected bandits during Taraweeh prayers in Azara community, Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State. The incident occurred on Thursday night while residents were observing the voluntary Ramadan prayers inside a mosque. According to a resident, Tanimu Ibrahim, the assailants stormed the community, firing sporadically into the air before abducting six adults, four men and two women.  Members of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN), popularly  known as Shiites, took to the streets of Northern States on Sunday to protest over the killing of Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Shiites in Nigeria led by leader Ibrahim El-Zakzaky had a protest on Sunday shortly after it was reported that Khamenei has been killed in an airstrikes operation carried out on Iran by the United States and Israel military.  The members of the Islamic Movement of Nigeria (IMN) were seen in social media video on Sunday, chatting freedom to Iran , death  to America.
