 STATEHOUSE PRESS STATEMENT PRESIDENT TINUBU'S MESSAGE OF CONDOLENCE TO CHIMAMANDA ADICHIE AND HER FAMILY   With a deep sense of grief, I condole with Ms Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, her husband, Dr Ivara Esege, and the entire family on the passing of their son, Nkanu Nnamdi.   As a parent myself who has suffered the loss of a loved one, no grief is as devastating as losing a child.   I empathise with the family at this difficult time, and I mourn this sad loss with them.   Ms Adichie is a literary icon who has brought joy and light to many homes globally, and I pray she and her family find strength in the Almighty in this trying hour.   My prayers are with the family.   Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces Federal Republic of Nigeria January 8, 2026

EKITI STATE TO BEGIN ADVOCACY TO ''KEEP GIRLS IN SCHOOL'',BY SEPTEMBER''.{PHOTO}.#PRESS RELEASE.

      First Lady of Ekiti State, Erelu Bisi Fayemi has disclosed that a new advocacy aimed at keeping girls in school will begin during the next academic session in September.
The First Lady said the new advocacy which is termed “Keep Girls in School” will be based on existing policies and laws and in collaboration with educational institutions, parents and organisations.
Erelu Fayemi made this known during a meeting with the leaders of Non-Governmental Organizations operating in the State at her office in Ado-Ekiti on Monday.
The First Lady also expressed sadness on the alarming rate of out-of-school children, especially girls in the country. “The number of girls dropping out of school in Nigeria is becoming alarming, we have 15 million of the kids out of school now and out of them, 70 percent are girls,” she said.
Erelu Fayemi warned that failure to address the negative trend might have negative consequences on the lives of the girl-child and the society at large. “Looking at it from the perspective of national development, if this trend continues, it means that in 10-20 years time we will have reduced number of doctors, engineers, and other professionals that should have been produced. And for every girl child that drops out of school, they are going to be part of what I called a cycle of generational poverty in our society because it will affect them, their children and grand-children who would also roam the streets”, she said.
Erelu Fayemi emphasised that the new advocacy is driven by the necessity to stop girls of school age from roaming the streets. According to her, government will support the advocacy with assistance for indigent kids to have vocational trainings and skills acquisition.
Appreciating the First Lady on behalf of her team, Mrs.Abimbola Aladejare of the Girl Generation End FGM Ambassador, Nigeria advocated for an adolescent centre which will further cater for the needs of women and girl child and assist in further preventing issues of early pregnancy, rape and other forms of oppression against the female.

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.  Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
