 U.S warns citizens in Nigeria of possible 'terrorist threat' The ​embassy has been on heightened alert ⁠since the U.S. and Israel ​launched coordinated strikes against Iran. U.S. ​citizens should take additional precautions when traveling to the embassy in the capital ​Abuja and the U.S. consulate ​in commercial capital Lagos and U.S.-affiliated schools, ‌the ⁠embassy said, Reuters reported. The embassy did not give details on the security threat, but Nigerian authorities have in ​recent days ​stepped up ⁠security in Abuja following threats of pro-Iranian protests. In ​northern Nigeria, where there ​is ⁠a sizeable Shi'ite Muslim minority influenced by Iran, thousands of protesters ⁠have ​taken to the streets ​to march in support of Iran.

 Yobe State Governor Mai Mala Buni Distributes 17 New Vehicles To Newly Elected APC Chairmen


Yobe state Governor  Mai Mala Buni has distributed 17 new Honda Cars to the newly elected APC chairmen of 17  Local government Areas of the state. 


The Deputy Governor Idi Barde Gubana who presented the vehicles informed the beneficiaries that the gesture is aimed at making thier activities easier and rally round policies and programmes of the ruling party in thier various local governments. 


While urging them to put the vehicles to good use he also urged them to eschew bitterness and work towards uniting supporters  and to watchout for political betrayers.


He stressed that the local government party chairmen must abide by the principles and guidelines of APC and liaise  with the state critical stakeholders in all thier activities. 


The state APC chairman,  Alhaji Muhammad Gadaka thanked  the stakeholders for their support and understanding during  congresses. 


He congratulated the beneficiaries and urged them to reciprocate the gesture by dedicating themselves to deliver APC  at their various local governments.


 The state party chairman further warned that the vehicles are not for sale and should be strictly use  for party activities.
