 Tommy DeCarlo, Boston’s Lead Singer Since 2007, Passes Away After Battle with Brain Cancer Tommy DeCarlo, the vocalist who stepped in to lead Boston after the tragic passing of original singer Brad Delp, has died at the age of 60. His family shared the news on social media on Monday, March 9, 2026. “It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our Dad, Tommy DeCarlo,” the post read.  The message added that he had been diagnosed with brain cancer last September and “fought with incredible strength and courage right up until the very end.”  Signed with love by his children Annie, Talia, and Tommy Jr., the post asked that friends and fans respect the family’s privacy during this difficult time, concluding with, “Rest in peace, Dad.” Tom Scholz, reflecting on his bandmate’s life, described DeCarlo as “a competitive athlete and yet a gentle soul” who was “remembered by his son and many others as a sweet man who did not deserve to be cut down at such a young age.” Scho...

 U.S warns citizens in Nigeria of possible 'terrorist threat'


The ​embassy has been on heightened alert ⁠since the U.S. and Israel ​launched coordinated strikes against Iran.


U.S. ​citizens should take additional precautions when traveling to the embassy in the capital ​Abuja and the U.S. consulate ​in commercial capital Lagos and U.S.-affiliated schools, ‌the ⁠embassy said, Reuters reported.


The embassy did not give details on the security threat, but Nigerian authorities have in ​recent days ​stepped up ⁠security in Abuja following threats of pro-Iranian protests.


In ​northern Nigeria, where there ​is ⁠a sizeable Shi'ite Muslim minority influenced by Iran, thousands of protesters ⁠have ​taken to the streets ​to march in support of Iran.
