 NDLEA intercepts opioids, meth in carton walls, winter jackets, cream at Lagos airport - Recovers large consignments of illicit drugs in Lagos, Kano, Kaduna, Edo, Oyo, FCT, Taraba, Adamawa raids     Desperate attempts by members of Drug Trafficking Organisations (DTOs) to move consignments of illicit substances especially methamphetamine and opioids concealed in wals of carton, winter jackets and body cream containers to countries in Europe have been foiled by operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja and a courier firm in Lagos. Two of the consignments heading to Italy were to be moved through the Lagos airport where two suspects linked to the shipments were promptly arrested. A BRAVE 8-YEAR-OLD KANSAS GIRL FOUGHT OFF A MAN WHO GRABBED HER FROM BEHIND AND COVERED HER MOUTH, PREVENTING HER FROM SCREAMING FOR HELP.(PHOTO).

 A brave 8-year-old Kansas girl fought off a man who grabbed her from behind and covered her mouth, preventing her from screaming for help.


An 8-year-old girl simply identified as IR was walking to her grandmother's restaurant in Wichita on the morning of March 7th when 27-year-old Tanner Warren began to follow her. 


As she continued towards her destination, Warren made contact with IR by saying, "Hey."


IR told officers that she responded to him by saying "hi," because she thought he might be a friend of her father.


As Tanner continued to follow IR, he then asked for her name. This is when IR began to get a bad feeling and told Tanner she wasn't allowed to talk to strangers.


Tanner then caught IR completely off guard by muttering her name. She asked, "How do you know my name?" 


Tanner responded that he thought the little girl was pretty and that he had just guessed her name. 


This is when the encounter turned from creepy to downright terrifying. 


Tanner Warren suddenly grabbed IR from behind, around the waist, and covered her mouth.  He began squeezing, which restricted IR's ability to breathe. 


IR tried to scream out but couldn't get enough breath to get it out.


However, this tough little girl wasn't going to give up without a fight. 


IR gathered all of her strength and struck Tanner in the stomach hard enough that he released his hold on her long enough for her to escape from his grasp.


IR then took off like a rocket, running straight to her grandmother's restaurant. The young girl told her everything that had just happened to her. IR's grandmother immediately contacted Wichita PD.


Police quickly tracked down Tanner Warren, who denied any wrongdoings. At first he stated that he knew nothing about a little girl. He stated the girl noticed him and he asked for her name. Then he stated that he didn't mean to make any little girl feel uncomfortable. Finally, he claimed he was just taking a walk and had seen IR. He admitted to asking for her name but told officers he wasn't flirting with her and he stated he would never hit on an underage girl.


Tanner Warren was arrested and is being charged with attempted kidnapping and attempted interference with paternal  custody.  


Tanner is being held on a $40,000 bond and is due in court on Monday, March 23rd.
