 Former ESPN anchor Sage Steele apologized to her kids before suing network Sage Steele, former ESPN anchor turned conservative commentator, recently revealed the candid conversation she had with her children before filing a lawsuit against the network.  Steele, who shares three adult children with ex-husband Jonathan Bailey, explained that she warned them about the backlash they might face, urging them not to defend her but to stand firm in the importance of “diversity of thought.”  Her son encouraged her, telling her it was “about time” she stood up for herself.  SENATE TASKS GOVERNMENT APPOINTEES TO DELIVER ON MANDATES Senate has expressed satisfaction with the calibre of people being appointed by President Bola Tinubu to manage key sectors of the economy, for improved productivity, revenue generation and efficiency across board. At the screening of the recently appointed Chairman and executive commissioners for the Nigeria Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission, NUPRC, the senate committee on Petroleum, Upstream, asked the appointees to be innovative as regulators to enable Nigeria maximally benefit as a major player in the industry.  Kaduna Targets Completion Of Over 140 Road Projects The Kaduna State Government has announced plans to complete more than 140 ongoing road projects across the state as part of efforts to strengthen infrastructure, improve transportation, and stimulate economic growth. The Managing Director of the Kaduna Roads Agency, Dr. Abdullahi Baba-Ahmed, disclosed this in a statement released to journalists in Abuja on Saturday. The announcement came as the agency launched its second documentary titled “Roads of Legacy: Governor Uba Sani Reconnects Kaduna.”  The film highlights both completed and ongoing road projects undertaken by the administration of Uba Sani.  Court To Rule On ICPC’s Request For Fresh 14-Day Detention Of El-Rufai A Magistrate Court in Abuja has fixed Tuesday, March 17, to rule on a request by the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) seeking an additional 14 days to detain former Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai. The presiding magistrate, Okechukwu Akweke, adjourned the matter to allow the court determine whether to grant or dismiss the anti-graft agency’s application. El-Rufai has been in ICPC custody since February 18, 2026, following allegations of money laundering and the illegal interception of the communications of the National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu. The commission had earlier obtained a 14-day remand order from a Magistrate Court in Bwari on February 19, 2026.  The order, however, expired on March 5.  122,000 Insurgents Surrendered In 11 Years The Defence Headquarters says more than 122,000 insurgents have surrendered under Operation HADIN KAI, since the creation of Operation SAFE CORRIDOR in 2015. The Director Defence Media Operations, Major General Michael Onoja who stated this in a statement adds that troops deployed in the operational theaters conducted a series of successful  clearance operations, and rapid response missions across all theatre of operations. ‎ Troops of Operation HADIN KAI,  maintained pressure on Boko Haram and Islamic State West Africa Province fighters, repelling attacks and targeting their supply chains. Major General Onoja stress that the outcomes of the operations underscore the commitment of the Armed Forces to sustaining pressure on terrorist and criminal groups across the country.

 Two missing people from Indiana were found deceased in their vehicle 8 feet underwater.  35-year-old Jesse Brock and 21-year-old Kasee Allman were reported missing on Sunday, March 8th.  The two were reported missing by family members who grew concerned when both failed to respond to all attempts to contact them. They were last seen leaving Paoli, Indiana, heading to Jesse's home on Saturday evening.  However, they would never arrive at their destination.  As authorities began to investigate their disappearance, they used cellphone data to attempt to determine their location.  The data collected showed the pair in the area of Earl Road and Lawrenceport Road at approximately 10 p.m. Saturday evening. The area where their phones were last pinged was flooded at the time of their disappearance due to recent heavy rains. Authorities used boats, drones, and underwater sonar to search for the pair.
