 Alabama student James Gracey, 20, found dead two days after vanishing in Barcelona James “Jimmy” Gracey, a 20-year-old University of Alabama student, was found dead in Barcelona after disappearing during a spring break trip.  Catalan police confirmed that divers recovered his body near Port Olympic on Thursday evening, and his family has been notified.  Authorities believe he drowned, though an autopsy will be conducted to determine the exact cause of death. Gracey was last seen leaving the beachfront nightclub Shôko around 3 a.m. Tuesday with an unidentified person. Investigators pieced together his final movements using witness accounts and security footage.  TROOPS OF 6 BRIGADE ARREST SUSPECTED GUNRUNNERS, RECOVER 444 ROUNDS OF AMMUNITION IN TARABA Troops of 6 Brigade Nigerian Army /Sector 3 Operation Whirl Stroke (OPWS), deployed at the Forward Operating Base (FOB) Wukari, have arrested two suspected gunrunners during a routine stop-and-search operation along the Wukari–Ikyaior Road in Wukari Local Government Area of Taraba State. The operation, conducted on 19 March 2026, led to the interception and arrest of two suspects who were riding on a motorcycle. The suspects have been identified as Mr. Wisdom Soomga, 32 years old, from Ukum Local Government Area of Benue State, and Mr. Elisha Danladi, 38 years old, a native of Wukari Local Government Area of Taraba State. A thorough search of the suspects led to the recovery of 444 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition.  NATO Threw Libya Into 15 Years of Chaos, Says Libyan Lawmaker NATO's 2011 military intervention empowered armed militias and destroyed a once-prosperous and stable nation, Abdelmanam Al-Arafi, Libyan Parliament member, told Sputnik. "This led to the destabilization of the country, the emergence of gangs and armed groups that received money and influence and in certain periods actually engaged in blackmailing the state," the lawmaker said. According to Al-Arafi, responsibility lies with the countries that took part in the intervention. Foreign interference worsened the Arab Spring turmoil, and the Western principles imposed by force did not lead to a resolution of the political crisis. "The imposition of change or democracy by force cannot create the conditions for stability, and the Libyan experience serves as a vivid testament to that," the parliamentarian added.

 FRSC BEGINS “OPERATION SAFE KUGBO”  The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) has flagged off an enforcement operation code named "Operation Safe Kugbo", aimed at enhancing traffic flow and reducing the incidence of Road Traffic Crashes  involving  articulated vehicles along the ever busy Kugbo outbound corridor. The enforcement drive is said to reflect the Corps’ commitment to translating strategic assessments into impactful actions. The operation focuses on restricting the movement of articulated vehicles and heavy-duty trucks during peak traffic hours to mitigate congestion and associated risks. The Corps urges all road users, particularly operators of heavy duty vehicles, to continue to comply with traffic regulations, as sustained enforcement under Operation Safe Kugbo will remain a critical component of efforts to ensure safer and more efficient movement within the FCT.

ZULUM RETURNS FROM LESSER HAJJ, VISITS VICTIMS OF BOMB BLASTS Borno State Governor, Babagana Umara Zulum, has, on his return from the Lesser Hajj, paid a sympathy visit to victims of the recent Maiduguri bomb blasts. The Governor commended the Federal Government for its swift response, including the release of funds for clearance operations around the fringes of Lake Chad and other affected areas, as well as the directive for Service Chiefs to relocate to Maiduguri to strengthen ongoing security efforts. He assured residents of the government’s continued support for victims and families of those who lost their lives, while reaffirming the commitment of security agencies to bringing a lasting end to insurgency in the state and the wider North-East region.
