 FG Reaffirms Commitment To Operationalize Sokoto Hajj Airport Ahead Of 2026 Pilgrimage The Federal Ministry of Aviation and Aerospace Development announced that the Sokoto State Hajj Airport is set to become operational ahead of the 2026 Hajj pilgrimage. The Minister of Aviation and Eerospace Festus Keyamo reaffirmed this commitment during a meeting with Sokoto State Governor Dr. Ahmed Aliyu. Keyamo highlighted Sokoto's importance for Hajj operations and assured that relevant agencies are working to meet necessary infrastructure and operational requirements. He directed officials to identify and address potential bottlenecks. Governor Aliyu says the airport project is 90% completed and funded by the state government with five aircraft being acquired. He appealed for expedited approvals to operationalize the airport for the 2026 Hajj. I have today instructed the commencement of legal action against two individuals, one Timi Frank and another Katch Ononuju, who have put their names to these odious falsehoods.        In her spirited efforts to combat insecurity across the nation, the Nigerian Army (NA) is set to commence simultaneous routine training exercises in the various Geo-political zones of Nigeria. The exercises are Exercise AYEM AKPATUMA 11 in the North Central and parts of North Western States of Benue, Nasarawa, Kogi and Taraba as well as Kaduna and Niger States in 1 and 3 Divisions Area of Responsibilities (AOR) including Headquarters Command Army Records, Guards Brigade and 707 Special Forces Brigade, Exercise EGWU EKE 1V which will be carried out in the South Eastern part of Nigeria comprising Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu and Imo States in 82 Division AOR, while Exercise CROCODILE SMILE 1V will as usual take place in the South South and parts of South Western States of Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Cross River, Delta, Edo, Lagos, Ogun and Rivers States in 2, 6, 81 and 82 Divisions' AOR.      FG's delegation currently engaging with media and stakeholders in London, over the P&ID case, on Wednesday held a series of engagements, starting with a stakeholders' event, lunch with a leading Barristers' Chambers in London and interviews with BBC. On Tuesday, the team engaged with journalists at Bloomberg and The Economist, among others. The delegation includes HMIC Lai Mohammed, Attorney General and HMJ Abubakar Malami, IGP Abubakar Adamu, CBN Governor Godwin Emefiele, A g. EFCC Chair Ibrahim Magu and AIG Ibrahim Lamorde. TWO CASKETS EXHUMED TODAY BECAUSE OF LAND DISPUTE,3-WEEKS AFTER THEY WERE BURIED IN IMO STATE.{PHOTOS}.

      "A family had to exhume the caskets with Corpses of a mother and her daughter in-law who has been buried 3weeks ago just because of land disputes. The deceased spent 6months lying in the mortuary because of same issues. Out of anger the entire youths carried the deceased into the sitting room of the same family that exhumed the caskets with the corpses where they were laid as a punishment to them all that was involved in the act. Further more the entire  youths of same village burned down and destroyed some of their properties. This happened in Njaba L. G. A, Imo State.       The Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission ( EFCC) Mr Ibrahim Magu on Wednesday September 25, 2019 disclosed that the agency has recovered over one hundred million naira for the Kwara State Government from corrupt officials in the State. Magu who spoke through Isyaku Sharu, the zonal head of EFCC office in Ilorin, made the declaration during a visit to the office of the News Agency of Ni geria in the Kwara Sate capital. " We started our full operations in Ilorin Zonal Office sometimes in February 2019, our operations cut across all areas, We have recovered over one hundred million naira cash belonging to the Kwara State Government, this money was stolen by politicians and prominent individuals within the State.
