APC Crisis in Abia: Protesters Reject Alleged Imposition of Candidate for Ikwuano/Umuahia Rep Seat Fresh tension has hit the Abia State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as aggrieved party members stormed the state secretariat on Friday to protest alleged attempts to impose a candidate for the Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency House of Representatives seat ahead of the party primaries. The protesters, carrying placards with inscriptions such as “No To Imposition,” “Allow Free And Fair Primaries,” and “Let The Best Candidate Emerge,” expressed strong opposition to what they described as a move to hand the ticket to a preferred aspirant. The protest followed a stakeholders’ meeting in Umuahia North where some APC leaders and aspirants reportedly agreed to zone the House of Representatives seat to Ohuhu Clan.
