 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken.      On Day three of #RoyalVisitSouthAfrica, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex and their son Archie met Archbishop Desmond Tutu and his daughter, Thandeka.
They met to discuss the work of the The Desmond & Leah Tutu Legacy Foundation which was founded in Cape Town in 2013.
The Foundation contributes to the development of youth and leadership, and facilitates discussions about social justice and human purpose.
In 2015, in recognition of Archbishop Tutu’s services to UK communities and international peace, The Duke of Sussex presented him with the "Insignia of an Honorary member of The Order of the Companions of Honour".
Her Majesty has met the Archbishop many times over the course of her reign including in 2004 and 2013.
Later today, The Duchess of Sussex attended a ‘Ladies who Launch’ event at the Woodstock Exchange, Cape Town.
HRH spoke with inspiring female entrepreneurs about their careers in technology and their ambitions for the future.
At mothers2mothers, The Duchess then learned more about the work of the charity in helping to eliminate paediatric AIDS. m2m train and employ women living with HIV as frontline health workers – so far the charity have created over 10,000 jobs for women living with HIV across the African continent.More photos below.
