KELLY OSBOURNE STEPS OUT WITHOUT ENGAGEMENT RING AS SPLIT FROM SID WILSON SURFACES. (PHOTO).

Kelly Osbourne steps out without engagement ring as split from Sid Wilson surfaces For weeks, something felt different, subtle but noticeable. When Kelly Osbourne began appearing in public without her striking engagement ring, questions quietly followed. Now, the picture is clearer. Kelly Osbourne and Sid Wilson have ended their engagement, bringing a close to a relationship that had spanned decades, from early friendship to family life. The decision comes just seven months after Wilson proposed during a deeply personal moment, backstage at Black Sabbath’s final concert in Birmingham, where Kelly’s father, Ozzy Osbourne, was being honoured.  At the time, the proposal felt symbolic, emotional, and rooted in family. But in recent appearances, the shift was hard to miss. Kelly was last seen wearing the ring at a pre-Grammys event in late January.  By the time she stepped out for the ceremony itself, the diamond was gone. In its place, she later wore a simple gold “Dad” ring...

Heavy Security As Nasir El-Rufai Appears In Kaduna Court Nasir El-Rufai, former governor of Kaduna State, arrived at the Federal High Court in Kaduna on Tuesday under heavy security for his arraignment over alleged corruption offences. He was brought to the court premises around 9:00 a.m. in a Hilux vehicle and remained inside for over 30 minutes before being escorted into the courtroom at about 9:34 a.m.  Dressed in a light green babanriga and matching cap, he was surrounded by security operatives as he was led inside. Personnel from the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission and the Department of State Services formed a tight security cordon around him. Journalists who arrived early to cover the proceedings were denied access to the courtroom by DSS operatives, despite being at the venue hours before the hearing. Security was significantly reinforced around the court complex, located at the old Nigerian Defence Academy, with armed personnel depl...

NAMIBIA REJECTS STARLINK LICENCE REQUEST. (PHOTO).

Namibia rejects Starlink licence request Namibia rejected a request for billionaire Elon Musk's Starlink to operate its satellite internet services in the country, dealing the company a second setback in Southern Africa. Starlink had applied for the licence through its local unit, Starlink Internet Services Namibia (Pty) Limited, the Communications Regulatory Authority of Namibia (CRAN) said in a government gazette, AFP reported. The regulator gave no explanation for the refusal, saying only that "the full reasons for the decision can be requested from the authority." South Africa denies Starlink a licence Starlink has failed to secure a licence in neighbouring South Africa, where ownership rules have also blocked its entry. Telecommunications companies operating in South Africa, including those with foreign investment, are currently required to provide 30% equity to historically disadvantaged groups – a policy created to mitigate the legacy of racial inequality left by ...

SETTING THE RECORD STRAIGHT ON CHATHAM HOUSE’S MISREADING OF PRESIDENT TINUBU’S UK STATE VISIT. (PHOTO).

Setting the Record Straight on Chatham House’s Misreading of President Tinubu’s UK State Visit “He who thinks he has caught a tiger may discover, too late, that he was only clutching his own shadow.”  That is the problem with the Chatham House commentary by Dr Leena Koni Hoffmann: it reads less like rigorous policy analysis and more like a polished brief built on selective pessimism, half-acknowledged progress, and a familiar genre of elite-distance commentary that mistakes caution for depth. In her poorly researched article on President Tinubu’s State Visit, her core claim is that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s high-profile diplomacy, including the March 2026 UK state visit, has produced little for ordinary Nigerians. That argument is not only inaccurate but also incomplete. It underplays measurable improvements in macroeconomic stability, investor confidence, external balances, sovereign creditworthiness, and concrete bilateral outcomes that are now on record. Even instituti...

GHANA URGES UN SUPPORT FOR SLAVERY RESOLUTION TO BOLSTER REPARATIONS EFFORTS. (PHOTO).

Ghana urges UN support for slavery resolution to bolster reparations efforts Ghana’s permanent UN representative, Samuel Yao Kumah, has urged member states to back a draft resolution recognising the transatlantic slave trade as “the gravest crime against humanity,” saying it would strengthen ongoing reparations efforts. The resolution is primarily aimed at supporting reparations initiatives led by “our Caribbean brothers and sisters,” Kumah told an African Group press conference ahead of Ghanaian President John Dramani Mahama bringing it before the UN General Assembly on Wednesday. He emphasised that the resolution does not seek to “rank suffering or diminish other historical tragedies,” but identifies a “historical turning point” that reshaped humanity and established structures that continue to drive global inequalities today. “By recognising this historical reality, the international community strengthens its capacity to address contemporary challenges rooted in that shared pas...
