 Criminals or Heroes? Two Mississippi men are behind bars after beating up a man who fatally stomped a puppy.  Many are wondering if police arrested the right criminals. Matthew Bolton and Austin Delano are both being held on a $250,000 bond for aggravated assault.  The arrest came after the two witnessed an event that moved them to violence.  When Austin and Matthew saw a man stomping on a puppy on the 2100 block of Floyd Drive in Biloxi, Mississippi, they decided to hand out a little street justice and attacked the man.  Authorities report that the victim of their attack is facing animal cruelty charges. However... no arrest was made in connection with that charge. The puppy sadly did not survive.

 JOS TRADER RETURNS ₦1M MISTAKENLY INCLUDED IN GOODS


A small-scale trader in Jos, Plateau State, Mrs. Sarah Luka, has returned ₦1 million mistakenly included in goods she purchased from a wholesaler, in a gesture widely described as an act of integrity.


Mrs. Luka, who operates in the Lamingo area of Jos, had visited Terminus Market last Saturday to buy leather bags worth ₦6,000 from a trader, Mr. Abubakar Dola.


Unbeknownst to both parties, the wholesaler had earlier kept ₦1 million inside a polythene bag, intending to send it to a Point-of-Sale operator. During the transaction, the cash was mistakenly packed alongside the purchased items.


Three days later, on Monday, Mrs. Luka returned to the shop and handed over the full amount to the trader.


Speaking to our correspondent, Mrs. Luka said her decision was guided by conscience.


“I am a poor businesswoman. I know what it means to suffer loss. If I use money that is not mine, I believe God would punish me,” she said.

On his part, Mr. Dola expressed relief and gratitude.


“I had completely given up. I didn’t even realise I packed the money with someone’s goods,” he said.


He added, “I pray Allah rewards her. It’s not easy to find people of such character.”
