Criminals or Heroes? Two Mississippi men are behind bars after beating up a man who fatally stomped a puppy.  Many are wondering if police arrested the right criminals. Matthew Bolton and Austin Delano are both being held on a $250,000 bond for aggravated assault.  The arrest came after the two witnessed an event that moved them to violence.  When Austin and Matthew saw a man stomping on a puppy on the 2100 block of Floyd Drive in Biloxi, Mississippi, they decided to hand out a little street justice and attacked the man.  Authorities report that the victim of their attack is facing animal cruelty charges. However... no arrest was made in connection with that charge. The puppy sadly did not survive.

Heaven Will Not Fall If ADC Is Not on the Ballot—APC The attention of the Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been drawn to the latest outburst by a faction of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), alleging that directives from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) may prevent it from fielding candidates in forthcoming elections. While political pluralism remains a cornerstone of democracy, it must be stated unequivocally that democracy is governed by laws and institutional procedures-not by sentiment, entitlement, or alarmist propaganda. INEC, as the constitutionally empowered electoral body, operates strictly within the bounds of the law to safeguard the integrity, order, and credibility of the electoral process. Compliance is not optional. Any political party that fails to meet stipulated requirements must bear the full consequences of its own actions. The situation confronting the ADC is neither novel nor exceptional. The APC itself h...

The Fanti Carnival in Lagos originated in the 19th century, brought by Afro-Brazilian returnees (known as the Aguda or Amaro) who settled on Lagos Island after returning from slavery in Brazil. It began in the 1880s, merging Brazilian Samba culture with local Yoruba traditions, often celebrated by Communities like Lafiaji and Campos.   "Today, I was at the Fanti Carnival at Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos Island and it was a lively showcase of culture, with each group bringing its own colours, choreography and strong sense of identity. It was especially meaningful to see historic communities like Campos, Lafiaji, Okoo-Faji, Okepopo, Olowogbowo, Epetedo, and Isale-Eko come together, making the day even more memorable.
