 Federal High Court Adjourned Leke Abejide’s Suit Against ADC, Ralph Nwosu, Mark, Aregbesola and INEC to Tomorrow for Judgment The Federal High Court in Abuja, presided over by Hon. Justice Liman, has adjourned the high-profile case with Suit No. FHC/ABJ/CS/1637/2025 between Leke Abejide (Plaintiff) and the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Ralph Nwosu, Mark, Aregbesola, and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) (Defendants) to Tuesday, April 14, 2026, for judgment.

 Ekwulobia Crowned Champions of 2026 Aguata Easter Football Tournament

The 2026 Easter Football Tournament concluded in grand style, drawing thousands of football enthusiasts from across Aguata LGA to witness an exciting display of talent, skill and community spirit.


In the thrilling finals, Ekwulobia emerged as champions, defeating Igbo-Ukwu 1 - 0, while Achina claimed third place with a resounding 6 - 0 victory over Ora-Eri. Team. Ekwulobia received the coveted championship trophy and three million naira cash price, while Igboukwu and Achina were awarded two million naira and one million naira respectively for their outstanding performances.


The event was graced by notable dignitaries, including the Deputy Governor of Anambra State, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, who performed the ceremonial kick-off for the final.Top political and community leaders were also in attendance, including Hon. Anayo Okpalaeke and Hon. Anthony Muobike, members of the Anambra State House of Assembly, as well as Chikelue Iloenyosi, Chairman of the Anambra State Football Association.


Traditional rulers from across Aguata, led by HRH Igwe Alexander Azike ( Idu III of Igbo-Ukwu), and key chairman of all president generals of Aguata communities, witnessed the memorable finals alongside football enthusiasts.


The event also featured thrilling entertainment performances by Umuchu - born crooner Mr Kiss,  x - Rock popular comic Onu Ndi Aguata, keeping the crowd energized throughout the event.


The tournament highlights Aguata LGA's commitment to nurturing young talent and providing platforms for youth development.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
