The Department Of State Services Filed A Five-count Amended Charge Against Former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-rufai For Allegedly Intercepting And Tapping The Telephone Communications Of The National Security Adviser, Nuhu Ribadu, Thereby Violating The Cybercrimes Act.
The Dss Accused El-rufai Of Conducting Illegal Surveillance And Security Breaches.
The Charge Rely On A February 13, 2026, Arise TV Interview Where El-rufai Allegedly Discussed Intercepting The NSA's Communications.
The Amended Counts Include Breaches Of The Cybercrimes Prohibition, Prevention, Amendment Act, 2024, And The Nigerian Communications Act, 2003.
