The Rector, Federal Polytechnic, Oko, Dr. Chioma Irene Awuzie, has inaugurated the newly elected Deans of Schools and Heads of Departments, charging them to uphold integrity, discipline, and the highest ethical standards in the discharge of their duties. The new academic leaders emerged from an institution-wide election conducted on Wednesday, April 22, 2026.
Speaking at the inauguration ceremony, Dr. Awuzie congratulated the Deans and HODs on their emergence and commended the Electoral Committee, led by the Director of Academic Planning, Dr. Kenneth Ezekwe, for conducting a credible exercise.
She restated her administration’s commitment to repositioning the institution as a centre of excellence, innovation, and professional relevance, noting that her 12-point agenda remains the roadmap for growth and development.
Dr. Awuzie urged the new officers to key into the agenda to foster institutional growth and to create a conducive atmosphere for work and learning for both staff and students. She emphasized the need for strict adherence to the institution’s rules and regulations at all times.
