LADY CRIES OUT AFTER BOYFRIEND ALLEGEDLY REFUSED TO SEND HER BUSINESS MONEY BECAUSE SHE SAID ARSENAL WOULDN’T WIN THE LEAGUE. (PHOTO).
This shocking incident took place on May 8th at a mobile home park in Medford, Oregon.
On that day, 42-year-old Matthew Aranda, armed himself with a laser and a large hunting knife while disguising himself as a utility worker.
Matthew lay in wait at the mobile home park for his victim. The victim he was planning on kidnapping was a 25-year-old woman who worked as a caregiver for an elderly resident of the mobile home park.
When the victim finished her shift, she exited the home and began to walk to her car. This is when Matthew approached her and immediately used his taser to incapacitate her and begin to attempt her abduction.
However, the victim began to scream, and those screams caught the attention of 85-year-old James Miller.
James wasted no time rushing to the scene and confronting Matthew. This caused Matthew to turn his attention from his victim and use his taser on James.
The 25-year-old victim used this distraction to begin running for her car. Matthew quickly began chasing her while brandishing a large hunting knife, but it was too late, and the victim was able to get inside of her vehicle.
Matthew was not ready to give up yet and jumped onto the hood of the fleeing vehicle. Matthew eventually fell from the moving vehicle and sustained injuries from his efforts.
911 had been called by other residents while all of that played out, and deputies with Jackson County Sheriff's Office were soon on scene. Deputies used a K-9 officer to track down Matthew, who was hiding in a nearby patch of bushes.
Matthew Aranda is being charged with first-degree attempted kidnapping, second-degree attempted kidnapping, stalking, unlawful use of a weapon, and menacing.
Thanks to 85-year-old James Miller's intervention, the victim is safe, and the bad guy is in custody.
There is no update on Miller's condition.
