ADEDAYO BENJAMIN LANIYI AS DG/CEO OF THE MARYAM BABANGIDA NATIONAL CENTRE FOR WOMEN DEVELOPMENT President Bola Tinubu, has approved the appointment of Ms. Adedayo Benjamin Laniyi as the Director-General /Chief Executive Officer of the Maryam Babangida National Centre for Women Development (MBNCWD) and  members of the Governing Council  for an initial term of four (4) years. In a letter signed by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Sen. George Akume the appointment which takes effect from April 18, 2026, is in accordance with the provisions of Section 7 (1) and (3) of the National Centre for Women Development (Amendment) Act, 2023.  TROOPS OF OPERATION HADIN KAI RESCUE MORE ABDUCTEES, NEUTRALISE TERRORISTS, ARREST SUSPECTED COLLABORATORS IN SUSTAINED NORTH EAST OPERATIONS Troops of the Joint Task Force (North East), Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), have continued to record significant operational successes under Operation DESERT SANITY, including the rescue of abducted civilians, neutralisation of terrorists, and arrest of suspected terrorist collaborators across the theatre of operations. In a sustained clearance operation along the Mandara Mountains axis, troops of OPHK, acting on credible intelligence, conducted operation at suspected terrorist crossing point along the Amuda–Gava corridor on 14 May 2026.
