 A Florida woman was arrested after rushing onto the field during a football game and repeatedly kicking a 13-year-old boy. 33-year-old, Renee Lambert, is being charged with ab*se of a child without great bodily harm and resisting arrest after an outrageous incident on Saturday, May 2nd. Renee was attending a football game at Brooks Park in Fort Myers when a fight broke out between the players. This is when Renee came charging in from the stands and began kicking a 13-year-old boy who was already on the ground.  Other spectators were recording the game, and the entire ordeal was captured on cellphone video.  Fortunately, there were two on-duty deputies patrolling the park, and eyewitnesses quickly pointed out Renee after she fled the field. The deputies approached Renee near the concession stand, and she immediately became confrontational. She resisted being handcuffed and began pushing the deputies and trying to pull away.  Rainstorm Claims Two Lives, Destroys Over 50 Homes In Kaduna At least two people have lost their lives and more than 50 houses were destroyed following a powerful rainstorm that hit Dokan Mai-Jama’a in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State. The village head, Alhaji Hamisu Tukur, confirmed the incident, noting that the storm caused significant damage and displaced many residents. Speaking on Tuesday, Tukur explained that over 50 homes were badly affected, with several completely flattened by the strong winds. Residents reported that the heavy rainfall, accompanied by violent winds, began around 6:41 p.m. on Monday and lasted for about 40 minutes. A visit to the community revealed widespread devastation, with many families left homeless and trying to recover belongings from the wreckage of their houses.  PRESS RELEASE ARREST OF SUSPECTED ARMED ROBBER, RECOVERY OF FIREARM AND STOLEN ITEMS IN AUCHI The Edo State Police Command has recorded another significant breakthrough with the arrest of a suspected armed robber and the recovery of a firearm and stolen items following a swift police response in Auchi. On 2nd May 2026, at about 0200hrs, actionable intelligence was received at Auchi Division that a four-man armed robbery gang had invaded the residence of one Mr. Okologho Prosper in the Comprehensive Secondary School area of Auchi. Acting promptly on the information, the Divisional Police Officer mobilized a patrol team to the scene. On sighting the police, the suspects fled in different directions, abandoning a bag containing one cut-to-size locally made firearm, one live cartridge, and one mobile phone.  STATEHOUSE PRESS RELEASE PRESIDENT TINUBU ENGAGES GLOBAL INVESTORS IN PARIS President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has met with global investors in Paris, France, emphasising transparency and fiscal discipline, and explaining the rationale for the swift implementation of bold reforms.   At the meeting, the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Mr Taiwo Oyedele, highlighted Nigeria's strong GDP growth in dollar terms in 2025.   He said Nigeria recorded 11.2% GDP growth in dollar terms last year, a record that reinforced the country's ambition to achieve a $1 trillion economy in 2030.   Oyedele emphasised the government's near-term priorities of translating reforms into results for the Nigerian people.
