Jodie Sweetin, 44, recently opened up about her relationship with former Full House co-stars Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen during an April 21 episode of The McBride Rewind.
Sweetin recalled being close to the twins while filming the sitcom in the 1990s but admitted that over the years they’ve drifted apart.
She explained that the Olsens had a very different trajectory compared to the rest of the cast, moving to New York, building their fashion empire The Row, and choosing to live a more private life.
Sweetin emphasized that there was no bad blood between them, but acknowledged that the twins’ childhood was far more demanding than hers or Candace Cameron Bure’s.
While she enjoyed breaks during filming, Mary-Kate and Ashley were constantly working on movies, mystery series, and product launches.
Sweetin speculated that the Olsens eventually decided to step away from the spotlight after years of nonstop work, fiercely protecting their privacy ever since.
Despite the distance, Sweetin shared that the cast reunited with the twins at Bob Saget’s funeral in 2022, and the bond felt unchanged.
She described spending four days together as being “just like it was before,” underscoring the enduring connection between the Full House family even after decades apart.
