 Kwara Govt donates 150 off-road motorcycles to Nigerian Army •LGAs acquire 320 motorcycles to boost vigilantes' security operations  In a bid to further strengthen security operations and maintain peace across Kwara State, His Excellency Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq-led Kwara State Government has donated 150 off-road motorcycles to the Nigerian Army. The motorcycles are expected to enhance troops' mobility and effectiveness, particularly in rugged terrains such as forests, where non-state actors may be hiding with intent to destabilise the peaceful atmosphere of the state. EFCC ARRESTED A MAN ON TUESDAY FOR LOVE SCAMMING A VIETNAMESE WOMAN OF $145,000.{PHOTO}.

                    The EFCC,on tuesday,August 23,2016,arrested one Iwuchukwu Martin Uche for obtaining money under false pretence to the tune of USD145,00.Uche,who claimed to be a military officer working for the North Atlantic Treaty Organization,NATO in Kabul,Afghanistan allegedly,collected the money from his victim,H. Uyen,a Vietnamese woman,after promising to marry her.The suspect,who also claimed to be a property agent operating in Nigeria and Ghana,allegedly told the victim that he needed the money to procure some documents for the planned wedding.The money was allegedly wired to the suspect's Diamond Bank account number: 0028998256.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
