 LASG REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO END TUBERCULOSIS IN COMMUNITIES IN LAGOS STATE The Lagos State Government on Tuesday reaffirmed its commitment to completely eradicate Tuberculosis (TB) at the grassroots level across the metropolis.  The Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Health District III, Dr. Monsurat Adeleke made this known during a courtesy visit by the Institute of Human Virology, Nigeria team to her Ikoyi office, emphasising the present administration's commitment to continually prioritise health security across the state. She said the Lagos State First Lady, Dr. (Mrs.) Claudiana Sanwo-Olu, is a Tuberculosis (TB) champion with the mandate of ending TB now and the continuous expansion of TB scale-up diagnostic centres.  According to her, “The First Lady of Lagos State, Dr. (Mrs.) Claudiana Sanwo-Olu is a TB champion. Image result for maina son         The trial of Abdulrasheed Maina, former Chairman, Pensions Reform Task Team, and his son, Faisal continued on December 11, 2019 before Justice Okon Abang of the Federal High Court, Abuja as the EFCC presented more witnesses against them. Testifying as the second prosecution witness, PW2, against Maina, Fatima Abdulahi, a civil servant residing in Kaduna, acknowledged that Maina was her older brother. Under examination, she narrated how in August 2019, she went to an Automated Transfer Machine, ATM to withdraw from her Access-Diamond Bank account, but was unable to achieve her aim.
