A 14-year-old Michigan girl fought off a man who tried to abduct her, leaving him injured and running to his vehicle.
I began this story with the creepy phrase muttered by repeat S/Offender 29-year-old John Moore, as he attempted to drag the 14-year-old victim away.
This startling chain of events began to unfold on the evening of May 12th. The young victim was walking down the sidewalk in her hometown of Kentwood, Michigan, at approximately 6 p.m., when Moore decided to unleash his evil plan.
The harrowing events from that day were captured by security footage. As the young victim was making her way home from school, a blacked out SUV can be seen pulling up.
After making a quick stop, John Moore is seen jumping out of the vehicle and rushing the victim.
Moore is then seen making physical contact with the young victim. He begins @ssaulting her as he attempts to restrain her.
Our young hero is having none of that and begins to ardently fight back. It's during this struggle that the young victim alleged Moore muttered the chilling phrase, "I got you."
However, Moore did not "have her," and in fact, she was able to resist to such a degree that Moore was forced to give up and flee the scene.
Investigators would report that the young victim was able to injure the much larger man.
Local authorities would use the footage captured during this young victims struggle to identify and ultimately take John Moore into custody.
During the course of the ensuing investigation authorities were able to link John Moore to a second @ssault.
According to investigators, Moore approached a 66-year-old female who was working in her garden. He then made a series of unwanted advances before fleeing the scene.
John Moore is being charged with @ssault and battery and unlawful imprisonment.
He is being held at Kent County Correctional Facility on a $140,000 bond.
We are incredibly happy the teenager was able to fight off her attacker.
