Pentagon releases new batch of UFO files showing unexplained UAP encounters, including military videos and eyewitness reports    The Pentagon has released another batch of declassified UFO-related materials, continuing a rolling disclosure of once-classified files ordered by President Donald Trump for public release. The latest drop includes more than 50 videos and documents involving unidentified anomalous phenomena (UAPs), the government’s official term for UFOs, adding to a growing archive of material that has fueled public interest and debate about unexplained aerial activity. Among the newly released records are multiple military and surveillance videos showing unexplained objects in flight.  Marvel and DC comic book writer Gerry Conway, co-creator of the Punisher, dies at 73 from pancreatic cancer

Gerry Conway, a prolific comic book writer whose work helped shape both Marvel and DC storylines and who co-created the Punisher, has died at the age of 73 after a battle with pancreatic cancer.

He died Sunday in Thousand Oaks, California, according to his wife, Laura Conway. Marvel described him in a statement as a legendary writer whose work left a lasting imprint on superhero storytelling, noting his wide-ranging contributions across characters including Spider-Man, the Avengers, Iron Man, and Captain Marvel.

Conway’s career in comics began at a young age after he developed a passion for the medium as a child. Born in Brooklyn in 1952, he started writing stories as a teenager and broke into professional comics at just 19 when he was hired to write “The Amazing Spider-Man.” The opportunity marked a turning point in his career and became one of his most influential early roles.

During his time writing Spider-Man, Conway was behind several major developments in the series, including the landmark death of Gwen Stacy, a storyline that reshaped the direction of the character’s world. He also co-created the Punisher, a violent vigilante antihero whose skull emblem later became one of the most recognizable symbols in comic book history.

Conway also built an extensive body of work beyond Spider-Man, writing for titles such as “Fantastic Four,” “Thor,” and “The Incredible Hulk,” while also contributing significantly to DC Comics. His work there helped shape iconic characters and teams, including Batman, Superman, the Justice League, Firestorm, Jason Todd, and Power Girl.

Industry figures and colleagues remembered him as a writer who brought emotional depth and complexity to superhero stories. DC Comics leadership praised his wide-ranging influence across both publishers, crediting him with helping define generations of characters and narratives.

In interviews over the years, Conway often reflected on his approach to storytelling, saying he wrote from a personal, youthful perspective while still recognizing that comic books could resonate with readers of all ages.

His wife said he remained deeply connected to fans throughout his life, recalling a recent public signing where, despite declining health, he stayed late to ensure every attendee had a moment with him.

Conway is survived by his wife and two daughters from previous marriages. His family said his death leaves a profound absence, while also reflecting on the years they shared together.
