 Plane Sent to Pick Up Yadier Molina Crashes in Dominican Republic, Two Crew Members Lose Lives A private aircraft that was scheduled to pick up former baseball star Yadier Molina and his family in Texas crashed in the Dominican Republic, resulting in the loss of both crew members on board. According to airport officials, the accident happened on June 7 at La Romana International Airport.  The aircraft, a Gulfstream 200, had only two people on board, pilot Erick Javier Diago and co-pilot Ruddy Ghazal, both American citizens. Authorities said the jet had departed for Austin, Texas, but encountered difficulties shortly after takeoff. The crew reportedly attempted to return to the airport for an emergency landing before the situation turned tragic.  On this day, 28 years ago, General Sani Abacha passed away in mysterious circumstances on Monday, June 8, 1998. This photo, taken on Saturday, March 21, 1998, with Pope John Paul II, was taken three and a half months before Abacha died. General Abdulsalami Abubakar is immediately behind and to Abacha's right.  Interestingly, it was widely reported and never denied that on June 8, 1998, the day he died, General Abacha had planned to retire then Major General Abdulsalami Abubakar, who was at the time the Chief of Defence Staff. As fate would have it, General Abdulsalami Abubakar became Head of State on June 9, 1998, the day after he was to have been retired.  His sudden death also saved the life of his deputy, Lt. General Oladipo Diya, and five others, who had been sentenced to death on Tuesday, April 28, 1998, for plotting a coup against General Abacha.  Ironically, General Diya would almost certainly have automatically become Head of State after General Abacha's dea...

GEORGIA- A 3-MONTH-OLD BABY GIRL PASSED AWAY AFTER BEING ATTACKED BY A CANE CORSO.(PHOTO).

 Georgia- A 3-month-old baby girl passed away after being attacked  by a Cane Corso. Deputies with the Richland County Sheriff's Office were called to a home in the Hillwood subdivision in West Augusta, Georgia, at 9:21 a.m. yesterday morning, Saturday, June 6th. Once at the residence, deputies discovered 3 month old Zamora Robinson suffering fatal injuries consistent with a dog attack.  The 6-bedroom home is a foster home that has several foster children residing there currently.  There is also a Cane Corso that lives inside of the home. Deputies quickly removed all the occupants of the home and began an investigation.   Richland County Coroner, Mark Bowen, pronounced Zamora deceased on scene and determined that she had in fact, passed away as a result of injuries from a serious dog attack.  Mauritius rejects reported US proposal to purchase Chagos Islands Mauritius said on Monday that it had not received any proposal from the Trump administration on the Chagos Islands after the Telegraph reported that the White House was considering a plan to buy the islands from Mauritius. "The Mauritian government has taken note of the information reported by the Telegraph. As at today, it has not received any official proposal and has not been approached, either directly or indirectly, by the US administration regarding a separate agreement concerning Diego Garcia or the Chagos Archipelago," it said in a statement, Reuters reported. The Telegraph reported on Sunday that the plan was among several options being drafted by the White House, in a paper aimed at providing alternatives to British Prime Minister Keir Starmer ceding sovereignty of the Indian Ocean archipelago to Mauritius.
