 Trial begins of Central African ex-president Bozize over war crimes A UN-backed court in the the Central African Republic will on Tuesday begin the trial in absentia of former president Francois Bozize, over crimes against humanity committed between 2009 and 2013. The alleged crimes committed by members of Bozize's security forces include murder, enforced disappearance, torture and rape. Bozize, 79, who seized power in a 2003 coup before being overthrown 10 years later by rebels, has been living in exile in Guinea-Bissau since March 2023. But three of his former senior military officers, Eugene Barret Ngaikosset, Vianney Semndiro and Firmin Junior Danboy, are all in pre-trial detention in the Central African Republic. Crimes against humanity The case will be heard by the Special Criminal Court (SCC), a hybrid jurisdiction located in the capital Bangui with Central African and foreign judges.  Reactions as Comedian AY unveils 17-year-old ‘son’


Popular comedian and filmmaker, Ayo Makun, aka AY, has left his fans in surprise after he celebrated his ‘son’ on his 17th birthday.

The comedian, who was unveiling his son to the public for the first time, disclosed that his name is Denzel.

He expressed his eagerness to reunite with him.

Sharing photos of the celebrant on his Instagram page, AY wrote, “My son is 17. May each day be a step closer to your dreams, filled with the warmth of love and the thrill of new adventures. Happy birthday, Denzel. Daddy loves you. See you soon.”

His post elicited reactions with many thronging to the comment section with questions.

Slim Kiki wrote, “Oga you need to explain better o. Please your son from which woman? Because as far as I know, it’s only Micheal and Ayomide who are your kids so this son is from where?”

Celi a2069 said, “No wonder his wife hasn’t been happy.”
