 STATEHOUSE PRESS RELEASE PRESIDENT TINUBU CONGRATULATES EKITI GOVERNOR OYEBANJI ON RE-ELECTION VICTORY   President Bola Ahmed Tinubu congratulates Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji on his resounding victory in Saturday’s Ekiti State gubernatorial election.   The President commends the people of Ekiti State for their peaceful and orderly conduct, and for reposing their trust in Governor Oyebanji.   He also commends law enforcement agencies for maintaining law and order.   He charges the Independent National Electoral Commission to continue to invest in conducting a peaceful, free, fair and credible election as we approach the Osun governorship election in August and the general election next year.   With his overwhelming victory in the election, Oyebanji has emerged as the first governor in the history of Ekiti State to win re-election back-to-back.   President Tinubu notes that Governor Oyebanji’s first term was marked by significant strides in infrast...

Sequel to the Arraignment of fake pastors at the High Court Awka on  5th June with the Attorney General of the State prosecuting.


The High Court of Awka on 19 June, has granted bail to Bishop Emeka Nwankkpa,of Chapel of Faith International Nkwelle Ezunaka, and Ikechukwu John Paul Ezenagu (Muomili Afuluanya) Nnewi based native doctor and some others.


Bishop Nwamkpa was granted bail on self recognition and that he will be attending court during trial proceedings untill his case is decided.


Ikechukwu John Paul Ezenagu was granted bail with 50 million naira, and with strict condition not to grant interview with the media.


The learned Judge in addition to granting the bail, said they are to submit their their property, passport, full sized photographs, Provide sureties, National identification number, and will not travel outside the country within the period of trial.


Justice Jude Obiorah maintained that once any of them jumps bail he or she will forfeit his property,


He advised them not to engage in interview session with the media nor to discuss with any one.


The remaining pastors that were not called are scheduled for Monday June 22, then hearing was adjourned to 3rd day of July for all of them.


Bishop Nwamkpa expressing his happiness said he is grateful to God and now that he can go to his house.
