Barack Obama 'confident' America will have a female president 'sometime soon': 'It’ll become normalized' Barack Obama recently expressed optimism about America’s political future, saying he believes the country will elect a female president “sometime soon.”  In an interview with People, the former president explained that just as his own election in 2008 helped normalize the idea of a Black president, he expects that a woman in the Oval Office will eventually be seen as unremarkable.  He noted that once the milestone is reached, public focus will shift to everyday issues like gas prices and policy outcomes rather than the novelty of gender. Obama’s comments highlight the progress women have made in politics, from governorships to Senate seats, while acknowledging that the presidency remains elusive.  Kash Patel showcases support for girlfriend Alexis Wilkins at Freedom 250 with loved-up display

FBI Director Kash Patel was recently spotted with his girlfriend, country singer Alexis Wilkins, at a Freedom 250-related event. Alexis, 27, shared a photo of the two smiling at each other while standing beside people dressed as Founding Father mascots.

She captioned the Instagram Story “FBI Family day ❤️,” highlighting both her relationship and the occasion. Patel attended the Great American State Fair in Washington, D.C., not only to support President Trump but also to cheer on Alexis as she performed at the rally.

Wilkins had announced her participation on social media, saying she was honored to sing at the event and emphasized that she was not accepting payment. She explained that the Freedom 250 celebration was funded through private fundraising rather than taxpayer dollars.

Despite her enthusiasm, critics online questioned whether her performance was appropriate given her relationship with Patel, with some suggesting it could raise ethical concerns. Others mocked her involvement, claiming she was chosen for reasons beyond talent.

The singer responded firmly to the criticism, defending her career and independence. She noted that she has been a professional country artist for years and has performed at numerous events on her own merit.

Wilkins rejected the idea that her relationship defined her opportunities, insisting that she was invited to sing based on her accomplishments.

Her statement underscored her frustration with detractors who, she said, were dismissing her achievements for the sake of headlines and online clicks.
