 Former Super Eagles coach Christian Chukwu dies at 74 A former captain and head coach of the Super Eagles, Christian Chukwu, is dead. He was 74. The football legend reportedly passed away in the early hours of Saturday though the exact circumstances surrounding his death remain unclear as of the time of filing this report. His longtime teammate and friend, Dr. Olusegun Odegbami, confirmed the development.. Odegbami, who won the 1980 Africa Nation Cup with Chukwu, said: “I just received the news that between 9:00 and 10:00 this morning, ‘Chairman’ Christian Chukwu, MFR, my bosom friend and teammate, one of the greatest football players in Nigeria’s history, has passed on. “Babuje, Emmanuel Okala, MON, gave me the sad news a few minutes ago.      Comic actor, John Okafor aka Mr Ibu, has debunked rumors that he is down with stroke. This evening, rumors were rife on social media that the actor has been bedridden for a while because he was battling with stroke.
This evening he released a video in which he appeared healthy and rubbished the report. He said
''People are saying that I have stroke, that I am down with stroke. Why? How can you announce somebody's and you have many and you haven't announced yours? I don't have any stroke please''.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
