The Okoya family has recorded another milestone as billionaire industrialist Alhaji Rasaq Akanni Okoya and his wife, Shade Okoya, proudly witnessed the induction of four sons from the family into the prestigious Island Club in Lagos.
The colourful ceremony took place during the club's high-profile Easter/Ileya Dance Night, where Idris Abolaji Okoya, Usman Olatunji Okoya, Jubril Adedoyo Okoya, and Raheem Olashubomi Okoya were officially admitted as second-generation members of the elite social club.
Note that Raheem Olashubomi Okoya is the only son of Shade Okoya among the four
A video from the event captured the proud parents watching as their sons underwent the induction ceremony, which featured the traditional symbolic bow and the presentation of official sashes, signifying their admission into one of Nigeria's oldest and most exclusive private clubs.
Founded in 1943, the Island Club is regarded as one of Lagos' most prestigious social institutions, serving as a meeting point for prominent business leaders, professionals, politicians, and other influential figures while promoting networking, culture, and intellectual engagement.
