"MY DEAR WIFE, IYA ALAKARA": PRESIDENT TINUBU PLAYFULLY TEASES FIRST LADY REMI TINUBU AT ABUJA DINNER. (VIDEO/PHOTO).
A teenage boy accidentally took the life of his best friend, then in a grief-stricken panic, turned the weapon on himself.
A tragedy of unparalleled proportions took place inside of a home on Lincoln Avenue in Syracuse, New York, on the evening of June 24th.
The evening would end with two devastated families and two young lives lost. 16-year-old Damarion Jones was hanging out with his long time best friend, 13-year-old Jonah Tanner. This was an everyday occurrence as friends and family described the two as "inseparable". Sadly, on this night, that bond would be proven to extend beyond life itself.
Details on the circumstances leading up to the fateful event have not been made publicly available. However, the two youths had gained access to a 9 mm handgun.
As Damarion handled the weapon, it discharged. The round struck Jonah and although he didn't pass until later at the hospital, Damarion could not cope with what he had just done.
The two friends who had been inseparable in life would meet their ends together on that terrible June evening. Overwhelmed with what he had just done and unwilling to continue on without Jonah by his side, Damarion
turned the weapon on himself.
When first responders arrived, Damarion was pronounced deceased on the scene. Jonah was rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors declared him brain dead. He was kept alive until Saturday, June 27th, so that his organs could be donated in the hopes of saving the lives of others.
This is such an unbelievably sad story, and I cannot imagine the pain these two families are in. Our thoughts are with them as they attempt to process the loss of these two best friends.
