ISSUES IN FUJI CAUSED BY EGO, SAYS ATAWEWE. (PHOTO).

Issues in Fuji caused by ego, says Atawewe

Popular Fuji musician, Alhaji Sulaimon Adio Atawewe, has spoken candidly about his relationship with fellow Fuji stars, Wasiu Alabi Pasuma and Saheed Osupa, revealing that what many perceive as deep rivalries in the genre often stem from ego and self-respect rather than real conflict.

In a recent chat, Atawewe addressed long-standing speculations about tensions among Fuji artistes, particularly between him and Pasuma, with whom he has shared the stage and spotlight for years.

“Myself and Pasuma have been together for a long time and we know how to solve our issues whenever any arises. Yes he is older than me but I can’t call him ‘bros’ because we were not born by the same parents but I accord him the respect he deserves. We are all grown ups and we know that respect is reciprocal,” he said.

Atawewe also took the opportunity to clear the air on his relationship with Saheed Osupa, another prominent name in the Fuji scene, noting that contrary to what fans and followers may believe, there is no bad blood.

“The issues we have in Fuji music is ego and self-respect. There’s no serious misunderstanding. I and Saheed Osupa are on good terms and so is Alhaji Shina Akanni who is our elder brother in the industry,” he added.

The Fuji star’s comments come at a time when the genre continues to navigate generational shifts, conflicts among rival fan bases, and pressure of maintaining personal brands in a competitive entertainment industry.
