 Nearly 20 years after his death, the body of Ugandan musician Paul Job Kafeero was dug up from the grave for DNA testing to determine which of the 25 children he had were biologically his. The legendary Ugandan musician died in 2007 at the age of 36. For nearly 20 years, his 25 children and their mothers fought over his multi-billion Ugandan shilling estate, including land, houses, and music royalties. The long standing dispute eventually led the court to order that his body be dug up and his bone and tissue samples were collected for DNA tests. 1st June 2026, it was dug up for test and 25th June 2026, the results were released. Only 4 out of his 25 children were confirmed to be his biological children. The other 21 children were not his.

  A community activist from Mahikeng Province in South Africa, who appeared in a heated, viral video telling foreign shop owners to shut down their business and leave the country, has been reportedly shot dead. The man, identified as Thato Molosankwe, was killed at his own house. Reports say he was shot five times. However, it could not be confirmed whether the attack was carried out by a lone gunman or not. The attack happened just days after a video of him went viral across social media. In that video, Molosankwe was seen confronting Somali shop owners. He told them in clear terms to close their shops "before Friday". He said they had no right to trade in the area and must vacate the premises immediately.  The video spread quickly and sparked strong reactions from different sides. Some people backed his message. Others called it intimidation and hate speech.

The enforcement task force of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has impounded 40 commercial vehicles for operating outside the Mabushi bus and taxi terminal, Abuja. Peter Olumuji, secretary of the command and control centre of the FCTA security services department, disclosed this shortly after an enforcement exercise in Utako, Abuja, on Friday. Mr Olumuji explained that the 40 vehicles were impounded from Wednesday to Friday, as part of measures to ensure all commercial vehicles operating on the roadside moved to the bus terminal. France’s Health Minister Stéphanie Rist confirmed on Saturday, July 4, that the physician had “today left the medical establishment” and returned home following treatment. The doctor tested positive after travelling to France on June 23 from the Democratic Republic of Congo, where authorities are currently battling a significant Ebola outbreak.  Serious accident near Bushvalley leaves several injured A serious road accident occurred at around 5:00 pm today on the road between Tarantaal and Rwanda, near Bushvalley in N’wamitwa Village, Tzaneen, Limpopo. Several people sustained injuries, while others were trapped inside the vehicles following the crash. Emergency services responded to the scene and rescued those trapped. The injured were transported to the nearest hospital for medical treatment. The cause of the accident has not yet been established. More details will be provided as they become available.

 15 abducted Ekiti Church Members Regain Freedom After Over 67 Days in Captivity Fifteen worshippers who were abducted from a church during a night vigil on April 28, 2026, in Eda Oniyo, Ilejemeje Local Government Area, Ekiti State, have regained their freedom after more than 67 days in captivity.  A sweet 7-year-old girl was attacked by a pack of dogs that left her with her scalp ripped off; requiring emergency surgery.  Authorities in Tehama County, California, were called to the scene of a heartbreaking and gruesome attack at approximately 12:30 p.m. on June 27th. As first responders arrived at the scene, they discovered 7-year-old, Patricia, suffering from horrendous injuries after being attacked by multiple dogs.  According to official reports, Patricia had suffered significant injuries to both her scalp and legs. Authorities report that Patricia had been attacked by a pack of six dogs. Patricia would ultimately be airlifted to an advanced trauma center for treatment of her extensive and severe injuries.
