 Nigerian man takes up the challenge to be bur!ed alive for 24hours A Nigerian man who identifies as Young C has embarked on a challenge to be buried alive in a coffin for 24 hours.  He made this known in a series of posts on his Instagram page on Wednesday,  stating that the stunt was genuine and not a hoax.  He announced his intention to broadcast live footage from the coffin at night. Sharing a video on his Instagram account on Wednesday, he said, "I am going to be spending the next 24 hours buried in this casket. Guys, this is real, not fake.  "And the most amazing part is that I am going to go live by night." In a subsequent update, Young C revealed that he had been buried for over 8 hours and was experiencing physical discomfort, including excessive sweating. In an update on Wednesday evening, he said in part, "Guys, I have been buried alive for over 8 hours now. For those of you who saw my first video, I have been down here. Over 70 Nigerians Awarded Hungarian Scholarships

Federal Government has awarded postgraduate and undergraduate Hungarian scholarships to 72 Nigerians.

The scholars would be departing Nigeria on September 22 and 23, 2023.

Minister of State for Education, Dr. Yusuf Sununu, at a pre-departure briefing with the beneficiaries in Abuja on Thursday, urged them to protect the image of the country.

Sununu also tasked them to continue to portray the good qualities they have been exposed to and be willing to learn and relearn as they begin the first phase of their life journeys.

According to the minister, in spite of the global economic meltdown, the numbers of development partners have increased and many of them now offer scholarships to Nigerians.

He listed the active countries to include Hungary, China, Algeria, Romania, Morocco, Serbia, Mexico, Egypt and others non regulars including Macedonia, Poland, South Korea, Greece, Japan, Tunisia and Turkey.

“In order to reciprocate their good gestures, Nigeria also offered scholarship awards to China and Romania in the past and hope to reactivate the gesture as these countries and others indicate interest.

“To all the awardees, I say you have all overcome many challenges to get to where you are today, and everyone of you has achieved success in your own ways.

“I want to enjoin the parents of the awardees to always uphold them in prayers and encourage them with sound advice at all times so as to make you and Nigeria proud by being worthy ambassadors,” he said.

He called on the beneficiaries not to hesitate to return to the country at the end of their programmes to assist in making Nigeria a better place by contributing their quotas.

On his part, the Permanent Secretary, Federal Ministry of Education, David Adejo, said the scholarship was a testimony of the incredible achievements of the beneficiaries of this year’s BEA Scholarship Awards.

Adejo admonished the awardees to be good ambassadors of their parents and the country, while advising them to utilise the opportunity to acquire requisite skills that may be available in their host country for Nigeria’s development.

Mr Ayodeji Akerele, who spoke on behalf of the awardees promised the Federal Government and their parents to portray the good image of the country as well as return to contribute their quotas to national development. 

Mr Solomon Sunday also spoke on behalf of the parents expressed appreciation to the Federal Government for finding their children worthy of the scholarship.

Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
