 Nigeria's Defence Minister Summons Service Chiefs Amid Surge in Attacks on Military Bases Nigeria's Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (Rtd), has urgently summoned the nation's top military leaders to a high-level meeting at the Ministry of Defence headquarters in Abuja. The session addresses the escalating attacks targeting military installations, particularly in the North East region. The meeting includes key figures such as: - Chief of Defence Staff, General Olufemi Oluyede - Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Waidi Shaibu - Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke - Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Idi Abass - Representatives from the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) The summons comes in response to recent deadly assaults by terrorists on military bases in the North East. THE NIGERIAN ARMY KILLED 1 BOKO HARAM,AND CAPTURED 3 MEMBERS OF THE GROUP IN GWASHARI VILLAGE.

                                        Troops of 254 Task Force Battalion,25 Task Force Brigade in conjunction with vigilantes have conducted clearance operation of remnants of Boko Haram terrorists at Gwashari village along Damboa-Bale road 2 days ago.During the patrol,the troops encountered some elements of Boko Haram terrorists in which they killed one and captured 3 others.They also recovered one Dane gun,a magazine of AK-47 rifle,2 knives,assorted drugs and sum of N142,000 from the terrorists.-Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman,Acting Director Army Public Relations.More photos below.
