 Court Grants ₦2 Billion Bail to Miyetti Allah National President Bello Bodejo Justice Inyang Ekwo of the Federal High Court in Abuja has granted bail to Bello Bodejo, the National President of Miyetti Allah Kautal Hore, in the sum of ₦2 billion with two sureties in the same amount. The judge ruled that the sureties must be responsible individuals. One of them must own landed property within the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), while another must submit tax clearance certificates for the years 2023, 2024, and 2025. The court registrar is required to verify all documents and details of the sureties before the bail conditions are considered fulfilled. Additionally, Bodejo must surrender his travel documents to the court. The Nigeria Immigration Service has been notified, and he is prohibited from leaving the country or travelling outside the court’s jurisdiction without prior approval.  EFCC Arraigns Former MD Of Warri Refinery for Alleged N1.339bn Fraud The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC has arraigned the former Managing Director of Warri Refining and Petrochemical Company Ltd, Jimoh Olasunkanmi Yisawu before Justice Inyang Ekwo of the Federal High Court sitting in Abuja for alleged money laundering to the tune of N1.339 (One Billion, Three Hundred and Thirty-Nine Thousand Naira).  INEC TO BEGIN PVC DISTRIBUTION AHEAD OF OSUN GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, says it will commence the distribution of Permanent Voter Cards, PVCs to eligible voters in Osun State ahead of the August 15 governorship election from Wednesday, July 22 to  Friday 7th August, 2026.  In a statement, the Resident Electoral Commissioner in Osun State, Oluwatoyin Babalola, said the exercise is for persons who registered, applied for transfer of registration, requested replacement of lost and damaged PVCs, or updated their records during the recently concluded Continuous Voter Registration, CVR exercise. The statement explained that the distribution will begin at the 332 Registration Areas across the state from Wednesday, July 22 to Tuesday, July 28, between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. daily, including weekends. Speaking on Raymond Arroyo's Arroyo Grande podcast, Wallace said he was the one who first suggested making a film focused on the resurrection of Jesus while he and Gibson were promoting Hacksaw Ridge in 2016. “Mel didn't approach me. Funeral Service of Former Acting President of Zambia, Dr. Guy Lindsay Scott President Hakainde Hichilema, the First Lady Mutinta Hichilema, Government Officials, Bereaved Family,  and other Dignitaries were  at the Anglican Cathedral of the Holy Cross for the Funeral Service of His Honour Dr. Guy Lindsay Scott, late Former Acting President of the Republic of Zambia. At the time of his passinf, Dr Scott was 82 years of age, survived by a wife, children and grand children. Dr. Scott will be remembered for hacibg cofounded the Patriotic Front in 2006, his passionate dedication to agriculture, the rule of law, and taking charge of the country when Zambia lost the 5th President Mr. Michael Chilufya Sata in 2013.  More photos below.

 ECOWAS signs agreement 'backing' Nigeria-Morocco atlantic gas pipeline project Member states of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) signed an intergovernmental agreement in Freetown backing the Nigeria-Morocco Atlantic gas pipeline, according to a Moroccan and Nigerian statement. The pipeline is designed to transport up to 30 billion cubic metres (bcm) of natural gas a year from Nigeria and west Africa through 13 West African countries to Morocco, according to a joint statement by Morocco’s hydrocarbons and mining agency ONHYM and Nigeria's state oil firm NNPC. Of that capacity, 15 bcm a year will be made available to Moroccan and European markets through an existing pipeline that links Morocco to Spain, the statement said, Reuters reported. The pipeline project, agreed to a decade ago between the Moroccan king and the Nigerian president, would run 6,900 km on a hybrid offshore-onshore route and is estimated to cost $25 billion.
