Commandant Olusola Odumosu announced that 4,000 personnel have been deployed across the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and its surrounding areas to ensure public safety and protect Critical National Assets and Infrastructure.

The personnel, drawn from various specialized units including the Special Intervention Squad, Counter Terrorism Unit, Arm Squad, Agro Rangers, and others, will work to maintain peace and order during the festive season.

In a statement issued on Thursday, signed by command spokesperson Monica Ojobi, Odumosu called for strict adherence to the operation order and emphasized the importance of securing key locations such as infrastructure, worship centers, markets, and recreational areas.

He warned that anyone attempting to exploit the holiday period for criminal activities would face severe consequences, stressing the Corps' readiness to prevent security breaches.

Odumosu also highlighted ongoing 24-hour surveillance and patrols aimed at safeguarding public infrastructure and deterring vandals. He urged residents to cooperate with security agencies, remain vigilant, and report suspicious activities to ensure a peaceful holiday season.
