 Kaylee Hottle, Godzilla vs. Kong actress, dies at 18 after Maryland car crash Kaylee Hottle, the actress known for her roles in Godzilla vs. Kong and Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, has died at the age of 18. Hottle’s father, Joshua Hottle, confirmed that his daughter died following a car crash in Maryland on Tuesday morning, July 21. According to Joshua, he was informed that Kaylee had been involved in a serious accident and was told she died while being transported to a hospital. He later shared a video on Facebook using American Sign Language, explaining the circumstances of her death and saying he was travelling from Texas to Maryland to claim her body. “I am taking a flight that I never would like to take,” Joshua wrote in the caption accompanying the video.  Former Miss Universe Jamaica contestant LaToya Malcolm dies at 35, pageant organization announces


Former Miss Universe Jamaica contestant LaToya Malcolm has died at the age of 35, the pageant organisation announced on Instagram.


Malcolm competed in the 2024 Miss Universe Jamaica competition and later won the 2024 Miss Jamaica Bikini International title.


“We are deeply saddened by the passing of Miss Universe Jamaica alumna LaToya Malcolm, who proudly competed in the 2024 Miss Universe Jamaica Competition,” the Miss Universe Jamaica organisation said in a statement.


“Our heartfelt condolences are with her family, friends, and loved ones. Rest peacefully, LaToya. You will never be forgotten.”


According to the organisation, Malcolm was a Jamaican actor and entertainer with more than a decade of experience in the industry.


She was also known as a dance instructor and worked with the Transition project, an initiative focused on providing training and resources to adolescents as they explored new opportunities.


In 2024, Malcolm won the Miss Jamaica Bikini International title. Speaking to the Jamaica Observer, she reflected on continuing her pageant journey after the death of her father earlier that year.


“My beloved father, Mr. Malcolm, this win was for you. Your one and only daughter continues to make you proud. I know you’re smiling down on me from heaven,” she wrote in an Instagram post after winning the title.


Following news of her death, supporters shared messages of condolence in the comments section of the Miss Universe Jamaica organisation’s post.


Miss Universe Jamaica titleholder Gabrielle Henry also paid tribute through her Instagram Stories, sharing her condolences after the announcement. Henry previously drew attention during the 2024 Miss Universe competition after falling from the stage during the event in Thailand.
