“One of my colleagues took the HIV prevention injection, Lenacapavir, and started experiencing this reaction shortly after” — Nigerian nurse A Nigerian nurse has shared a video showing the skin reaction she says one of her colleagues experienced after taking lenacapavir, an HIV prevention injection. The nurse, however, stressed that the reaction does not mean everyone who takes the injection will experience similar side effects, revealing that she and her roommate had also taken it without experiencing any adverse reactions. According to her, some medications can cause side effects or uncommon adverse reactions in certain people, which is why anyone taking the injection should be monitored by a healthcare professional. She advised people who experience any unusual signs or reactions after taking the injection to report them to the healthcare provider or facility where they received it.

Anambra State Government through the Ministry of Physical Planning and Urban Development has commenced another round of demolition of Shanties in Main Market, Onitsha on July 26.

The  ongoing demolition aligns with Governor Chukwuma Soludo's urban regeneration drive which seeks to develop a modern, state-of-the-art market and transform the area into a thriving megacity that will serve as a benchmark for future generations.

Addressing journalists during the demolition exercise,  the Commissioner For Physical Planning and Urban Development, Barr. Chijioke Ojukwu, said the action was necessary because many of the shanties  marked for demolition had encroached on the right of way for motorists and pedestrians, saying that it is important to create corridors for the expansion.

According to him, adequate eviction notices had been served on the occupants of the affected structures. He added that Governor Chukwuma Soludo had already awarded the contract for the renovation and redevelopment of the area.

Reacting to the development, the President General of Anambra State Market Amalgamated Trade Association ( ASMATA) , Chief Humphrey Anuna extols the ongoing state government project describing it as a welcome development

He therefore called on all market traders to pull their weight behind the state government's ongoing transformational projects at the market while condemning the slow pace of adherence to the evacuation notices issued to them.

Bright street,  Johnson, , Sokoto Road are part of the places to be renovated.
