 “One of my colleagues took the HIV prevention injection, Lenacapavir, and started experiencing this reaction shortly after” — Nigerian nurse A Nigerian nurse has shared a video showing the skin reaction she says one of her colleagues experienced after taking lenacapavir, an HIV prevention injection. The nurse, however, stressed that the reaction does not mean everyone who takes the injection will experience similar side effects, revealing that she and her roommate had also taken it without experiencing any adverse reactions. According to her, some medications can cause side effects or uncommon adverse reactions in certain people, which is why anyone taking the injection should be monitored by a healthcare professional. She advised people who experience any unusual signs or reactions after taking the injection to report them to the healthcare provider or facility where they received it.

 APM Mobilises Opposition Parties for Coalition, Hails PDP Support


The Allied Peoples Movement says it is galvanising support across political parties to secure victory for its presidential candidate, Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State, in the 2027 general elections.


National Publicity Secretary of the APM, Abubakar Yusuf, in a statement issued in Abuja disclosed that its ongoing discussions with other opposition parties were yielding positive results.


Reacting to the reaffirmation of support for the alliance by the Ekiti State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party,

the party’s spokesperson explained that some PDP members and other residents of Ekiti State had gathered in Ado-Ekiti last Friday to reaffirm their support for Makinde and their collaboration with the APM ahead of the 2027 elections, while retaining their identity and structure within the PDP.

 

The APM described the development as a major boost to efforts to mobilise support for Makinde’s presidential bid.
