 Set designer Mary Kate Golding found dead in Queens home as police investigate possible murder-suicide Police are investigating the deaths of television set designer Mary Kate Golding and her husband after the 34-year-old was found fatally stabbed inside her Queens home. According to the New York Police Department, officers responded shortly after midnight on Tuesday, July 21, to a residence in Astoria, where they found Golding with a fatal stab wound to her back. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Several hours later, at about 6:39 a.m., officers responded to a separate 911 call reporting an unconscious person near Astoria Park South and Shore Boulevard. Police found an unresponsive man in the park, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. An NYPD source identified the man as Joseph Azzaretto, Golding's husband.  NIGERIA, GERMANY TO DEEPEN STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP


The Federal Government says it will implement the outcomes of the 2025 Nigeria-Germany Bi-national Commission to strengthen cooperation in trade, energy, investment and other key sectors.


Nigeria and Germany are taking steps to deepen their longstanding relationship through renewed bilateral engagements aimed at expanding economic cooperation and strategic partnerships.


At bilateral talks in Abuja, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, welcomed Germany's Foreign Minister, Johann Wadephul, describing the visit as another milestone in strengthening ties between both countries.


The Minister said Nigeria remains committed to implementing the resolutions of the 2025 Nigeria-Germany Bi-national Commission, noting that the platform provides the framework for reviewing progress, addressing outstanding issues and identifying new areas of cooperation in line with the evolving priorities of both nations.


Germany's Foreign Minister, Johann Wadephul, said the new agreements reached by both countries cover critical raw materials, renewable energy, the pharmaceutical industry and biometric technology.


He explained that the agreements would inject fresh momentum into the bilateral relationship while opening up additional opportunities for cooperation.


The Federal Government also reaffirmed its commitment to working with Germany in migration management, vocational education and security, while expressing optimism that increased German investment will support President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's economic reforms, improve the investment climate and promote climate action.
