      The Lagos State Government, through the State Examinations Board, has announced postponement of the year 2020 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE), earlier scheduled to commence from Tuesday, 16th - 23rd June, 2020, till further notice. The announcement, which was contained in a statement issued on Monday by the Director, Lagos State Examinations Board, Mr. Supo Gbadegesin, noted that the postponement was  due to the prevailing COVID-19 pandemic and the subsequent closure of schools by the Lagos State Government. He informed the general public, especially all duly registered Public and Approved Private Junior Secondary Schools, that immediately the State Government issues directives on the re-opening of schools, new dates approved for the examinations will be communicated to all stakeholders.      On the 14/6/2020 at about 10:am,police operatives attached to 3-3 Police Station Onitsha arrested one Hillary Apeh 'm' aged 40 years of Maryland Estates 3-3 Onitsha. Suspect brutally assaulted his niece one Chioma Ogbu 'f' aged 9 years of same address and inflicted several wounds on her body.      Lagos State Government has commenced the distribution of maize and sorghum to feed millers, farm settlements and other stakeholders in the livestock industry as mitigation measures to the COVID-19 pandemic, to boost agricultural production in the State and avert food scarcity in the coming years. The State's Acting Commissioner for Agriculture, Ms. Abisola Olusanya, who made this known over the weekend, noted that the injection of these ingredients into the feed mill industry would have a multiplier effect on the input and output of the feed millers and consequently on food production. Olusanya explained that maize being the major source of energy in the feed mill industry, as well as accounting for between 60 and 70% of the total ingredients used in feed formation and production, usually determines the final cost of the finished feed such that any fluctuation in the market price of maize also has direct effects on the finished feed.    COVID-19 Update by the Incident Commander, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu Good people of Lagos, Today, 48 fully recovered COVID19Lagos patients; 31 males and 17 females including 10 foreign nationals - 2 Indians, 4 Americans, 2 polish, 1 Brazilian & 1 Dutch were discharged from our isolation facilities to reunite with the society. The patients, 1 from Onikan, 8 from Gbagada, 10 from Agidingbi, 14 from Lekki, 4 from Mainland Infectious Disease Hospital and 11 from Eti-Osa (LandMark) isolation Centres were discharged having fully recovered and tested negative to  # COVID19 . With this, the number number of  # COVID19  confirmed cases that have been successfully managed and discharged in Lagos has risen to 1185.
