 43 years married today  Forty-three years ago, we stood before God taking vows we couldn't possibly have understood in their entirety. We vowed for better, for worse; for richer, for p0orer; in sickness and in health; till death do us part. What no one tells you is that sometimes the worse speaks louder than the better. The sickness demands more attention than the health. The poorer seasons seem longer than the richer ones. Life has a way of testing every vow ever made. But love isn't proven by the absence of storms. It is revealed by the decision to stay through them. Through every season, we have stood courageously, Not perfectly, but intentionally.   US-based Nigerian correctional officer arrested for public intoxication in Texas A Texas Department of Criminal Justice correctional officer, Bashir Oladimeji Lawal, was arrested for alleged public intoxication. Lawal, who is assigned to the Wainwright Unit in Lovelady, was arrested on Sunday, July 26, 2026 by the Huntsville Police Department. The 37-year-old officer was charged with public intoxication and later released on a personal recognizance bond. Jail records show he was assessed a $281 fine. Employment records show Lawal was hired by TDCJ in May 2025.

 Benue State Police Command Confirms 13 Dead In Attack On Efeyi Community Otukpo Local Government Area The Benue State Police Command has confirmed the death of thirteen people after an early Tuesday attack on Efeyi Community in Ugboju, Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State.  Confirming the incident, the State Police Public Relations Officer Edet Udeme, said that the attack occurred in Efeyi Community and that police tactical teams and other security agencies had been deployed to the area to restore normalcy and prevent further attacks. The Command also assures residents that efforts are underway to apprehend those responsible.
