 UN relief coordinator urges end of hostilities, protection of civilians in Sudan The United Nations Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator in Sudan, Clementine Nkweta-Salami has urged member states and the international community to focus on the plight of millions of people facing the brunt of the conflict in Sudan. She made the remarks as world leaders gather for the UN General Assembly in New York. The war has resulted in the world’s fastest-growing civilian displacement and humanitarian crisis. Since the conflict erupted between the Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in April 2023, an estimated 20,000 people have reportedly been killed and thousands of others injured, according to Sudan Tribune.  N’Assembly resumes today, asks Tinubu to submit 2025 budget As the National Assembly resumes today (Tuesday) from its annual recess, the Senate Leader, Opeyemi Bamidele, said on Monday that both chambers of the National Assembly are expecting President Bola Tinubu to present the 2025 budget as well as the new Medium Term Expenditure Framework and Fiscal Strategy Paper. In a personally signed statement, Bamidele said, “The consideration of MTEF occupies a prime place on the rung of our legislative agenda. “This is simply because MTEF must be ready before the 2025 Appropriation Bill can be laid before the National Assembly.” The MTEF is the legal framework that provides the template for the budget and is usually submitted to the parliament ahead of the President’s presentation of his yearly budget to lawmakers.  ‘I am a Chosen’ phrase nonsensical, not Christian – Patrick Doyle Ace Nollywood actor, Patrick Doyle, has criticised the trending phrase “I am a Chosen”, commonly chanted by The Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries’ members. The actor’s remarks follows social media controversy surrounding the viral testimonies from the church. Doyle, in a post on his Facebook page, described the trending phrase as “nonsensical”, saying that it is not a Christian doctrine. “The phrase ‘I am a Chosen,’ used by members of the religious sect called ‘Chosen,’ should never be connected to the Body of Christ. “The members of this sect don’t have Jesus in mind when chanting the phrase. MAN AT OKLAHOMA STATE FAIR ACCUSED OF USING HUMAN WASTE FROM PORTA POTTY TO WIN COMPETITION. (PHOTO).

 Man at Oklahoma state fair accused of using human waste from porta potty to win competition.  Recently at the Oklahoma State Fair a local business sponsored a competition called "Stinkin Sentra". This is an endurance competition where competitors see who can stay inside of the car the longest amount of time.    During the competition contestants are given food and snacks however anything that enters the car must remain. So any food not finished must stay in the car. The idea is that eventually the smells in the car would drive contestants to quit. The winner takes home the car. Contestants were also given 15 minute bathroom breaks and this is where the story really starts to stink.  The man who came in second, immediately accused the winner of scooping a cup full of human waste out of the porta potty and bringing it back with him. A RICHLAND COUNTY MAN TOOK HIS DOG'S LIFE AFTER RECEIVING A 'DOG AT LARGE' TICKET. (PHOTO).

 A Richland County man took his dog's life after receiving a 'dog at large' ticket.  Richard Fisk, 64 years old, was arrested by the Richland County Sheriff's Office and charged with animal cruelty on September 20th.  Allegedly, Fisk received a ticket recently for his dog being loose. This is called a 'dog at large' ticket.  It is alleged Fisk used a pair of pants to strangle his small terrier mix pup, taking its life.  We will update.
