  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report.  A Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala, has asserted that many Nigerians working in the United Kingdom, despite earning between £2,600 and £2,800 monthly, could in some respects be financially and practically worse off than a Nigerian earning just ₦60,000 at home. Bwala made the remarks during his appearance on the Morayo Afolabi Brown Show, which aired on Wednesday. Detailing the harsh realities of life in the UK, Bwala explained that high living expenses rapidly erode the seemingly attractive salaries. “When they go there and do a job, on average they earn about £2,600 or £2,800 a month. £2,450 goes off. You pay power, internet, TV, rent,” he said, noting that rent alone could cost about £800 even on the outskirts of London.  EFCC Arraigns Woman for N18 Million Fraud. The Benin Zonal Directorate of the EFCC, on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, arraigned one Salt Adaeze Udoka before Justice F. Olubanjo of the Federal High Court sitting in Asaba, Delta State. Udoka was arraigned on a one count charge of fraudulently taken possession (stealing) of the sum of N18 million from an unsuspecting victim (Mrs Angela Anyekpe) which is contrary to section 18(2)(b) of the Money Laundering (Prevention and Prohibition) Act 2022 and punishable under the same Act.  KOGI STATE POLICE ARRESTS THREE SUSPECTS LINKS TO DEATH OF SCHOOL TEACHER MARIAM USMAN; TO ARRAIGN THEM IN COURT.  Kogi State Police Command says it has arrested three suspects  in connection with the death of Mariam Usman, a staff of Brains Minds Nursery and Primary School, Ugbamaka, Olamaboro Local Government Area of Kogi State. A statement by the Command's Public Relation Officer, ASP Saliu Oyiza Afusat says the three will be arraigned in court of competent jurisdiction for prosecution. It adds the State Criminal Investigation Department conducted a comprehensive investigation that culminated into the arrest of the three suspects. She says the Investigation established that on 17th June, 2026, one Abdullahi Isiaka assaulted the deceased at her residence over the disciplinary action she took against his eleven-year-old son during school hours.  WINDSTORMS RENDER MANY HOMELESS, FOUR FEARED DEAD IN GASHU'A  YOBE STATE A devastating windstorm has struck Gashu'a headquarters of Bade Local Government Area of Yobe State, destroying numerous houses and properties worth Millions of Naira. The windstorm which occurred Wednesday evening was said to have killed about four people though this has not been confirmed by relevant authorities. "This is one of the worst devastating disasters I have ever seen in my entire life, I think deforestation contributed significantly to this tragic incident" a 65-year old resident said. Mild windstorm used to accompanied the onset of rainy season this had left trails of destructions along its paths as hundreds of residential houses and other means of livelihood were destroyed.
