  DEVELOPING STORY: Man Found Unconscious After Allegedly Throwing Children From Storey Building in Aba A man was reportedly found unconscious but still breathing after allegedly falling from a storey building at New Phase of Umuobe by Barracks, Opobo Road, Obignwa, Abia State. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, has caused panic among residents of the area. Eyewitnesses told Magic FM Aba that the man allegedly threw two of his children from the building before attempting to throw down his wife. However, the circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear. The two children were reportedly rushed to a hospital for medical attention. As of the time of filing this report, Magic FM Aba could not independently confirm their condition or whether they survived the fall. The man, who sustained an injury to the head, was still lying in front of his house and had yet to receive assistance as of the time of this report. 🚨 More than 55 million people across the Northeast, Midwest, and mid-Atlantic are under air quality alerts as wildfire smoke from Canada envelops major US cities. New York and Detroit are experiencing some of the worst air quality in the world on Wednesday morning, according to IQAir.

There are more than 150 active wildfires burning in Quebec this week, according to the Canadian Interagency Forest Center -- more than double the number of fires burning in any other Canadian province. Wildfire smoke is particularly dangerous because it contains tiny particulate matter, or PM2.5 – the tiniest of pollutants. Exposure to elevated fine particle pollution levels can affect the lungs and heart.

So how can you protect yourself? 🤔 Hold off on that yard work and outdoor exercise and if you go outside, consider wearing an N95 mask to reduce your exposure to pollutants. Stay inside, keeping your doors, windows and fireplaces shut. It’s also recommended that you run the air conditioning on a recirculation setting. 💨
