Anaocha TCC Warns Against Indiscriminate Dumping of Refuse at Nwagu, Agulu

The Transition Committee Chairman (TCC) Anaocha Local Government Area, Mr. Ikechukwu Ozoh has warned the people against dumping of refuse on council's unapproved sites.
He gave the warning during the inspection tour of refuse dumps which has taken over parts of the Nwagu, Agulu road at the popular Nwagu junction, in Agulu, Anaocha LGA.
The Chairman during the inspection tour, noted that the refuse are dumped at night, assuring that the council has reinforced Anaocha task force that will now engage in round the clock monitoring and anyone caught dumping refuse indiscriminately at the junction will be dealt with accordingly.
Ozoh also decried the habit of emptying refuse at the waterways during rainfalls, calling on the people to shun such actions and equally educate children on the disadvantages of such actions.
He also called on traders at the Nwagu market to help the council by packing their refuse in bags for easy collection by the Dope Anaocha workers that comes on Wednesdays for collection of refuse.
He noted that he is taking the issue of clean environment serious to compliment the efforts of Mr Governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo in making the state clean and healthy. (Ministry of Information).
